What is N-xt Soil Services?
N-xt Soil Services was created following years of knowledge acquisition, research and experience within N-xt Fertilizers. The knowledge of Soil & Fertilisation is so valuable that we wanted to create opportunities to use this separately and independently by means of this website and other activities. This knowledge can be applied aside from N-xt products by companies that wish to optimise their soils and restore the soil balance. Our aim is to analyse the problem, talk about it, provide advice and handles to support a farmer towards a solution. It goes without saying that the correct minerals are an important chain in this process as input for the crop to be cultivated.
From a problem or product-led approach to a systematic approach! Research and developments in the market must continue to demonstrate which products are best used as support.
Why should we use the Albrecht analysis?
The Kinsey-Albrecht analysis we use is the only original analysis method developed by Dr Albrecht after he realised in the early 1900s that a chemical balance in the soil (calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, hydrogen and other cations) is crucial to the structure and consequently to the biology of that soil. All of this leads to cultivating the best possible food for humans and animals.
Dr Albrecht was one of the first to explain the relationship between soil health and disease in animals and humans. This analysis will be a first result of what your soil looks like and which actions are required to restore it and it is not about how much fertiliser you need to buy to have your crops grow!
Can I have N-xt Soil Service take a soil sample?
Certainly. N-xt Soil Service will send those samples via Kinsey Agricultural Services to a laboratory in the US, where they are analysed in accordance with the official Dr Albrecht rules. You receive one A4 with practical advice from N-xt Soil Services. This contains the converted amounts of products that are available in the Netherlands and/of other countries to obtain a balanced soil!
Why feed the soil rather than the plant?
The basis of all our food comes from the soil. What feeds, maintains and heals us has its origins in the soil. Everything we add after this phase, destroy or think to repair will never produce a long-term solution if the source, i.e. the soil, is not in optimum condition. If we can restore this optimum condition it does not matter which crop grows; every crop will grow in the best possible way!
The soil is the plant's stomach from where all minerals and trace elements are extracted to lead to balanced growth and quality. Subsequently animals or humans eat the food and it forms the basis for their health. Ever considered that only fruit and vegetables in a supermarket have their origins directly in the soil!?
What is the effect of soil fertility on crop quality and animal health?
The quality of all our food comes from the soil. What feeds, maintains and heals us has its origins in the soil. The concept of soil fertility contains many processes that should not be seen and judged in isolation! It is the engine of your company that consists of three cogs that rotate together. You could see organic matter as the lubricant of the engine. However, if the 'oil' is too low, the engine does not run efficiently.
The trick is to be continuously aware of the interplay of all these processes! Where do I intervene and what are the consequences of that elsewhere. An important rule to remember is that soil fertility is the result of the correct chemical soil balance, following which you create the optimum structure and then biology can develop.
How can I use soil fertility to affect crop resistance?
The resistance is determined by the general being of the organism. A vital human being due to the right foods and conditions will be less susceptible or not susceptible at all to disease or complaints - we have good resistance. The same applies to crops in the field. If conditions are good, i.e. the engine and its cogs, all the minerals and trace elements will be absorbed in the best possible way and that produces a vital crop that is resistant to diseases, bacteria and fungi.
Why is soil life so important?
Soil biology is the key to absorbing minerals and trace elements in the plant. Just as our intestinal flora in our body is the key to our absorption of food. If this is absent or inadequate only the dominant absorption processes take place; they are the differences in salt concentration (only the loose minerals find their way) or evaporation (only the dissolved minerals are absorbed by the plant). You will understand that this becomes too one-sided in view of the range of fertilisers we administer (SSP salts). This explains the quality problems, soil conditions and diseases in the world.
