Quality protein
Oddly enough, when we zoom in on protein we are back to dealing with the most important building blocks we come across in the soil, in our crops and in the human body. We are talking about carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), sulphur (S) and phosphate (P), let's call it 'CHONSP'. It is with good reason that there is a direct relationship between the quality and availability of these building blocks in the soil and the balance in which they can be used by the crop. Subsequently the cow needs to use these minerals in the correct balance which leads to the required result - yield (litres of milk), resistance (healthy cow) and quality (milk and manure).
The milk with its high-grade proteins produces the Euros, but manure is the chain in the cycle for the next season. So you see that nothing can be taken on its own and that sooner or later all processes affect each other. N-xt realised that there is an important task in connecting all the pieces of the jigsaw. Cooperation in the chain and more knowledge and support based on the soil processes are crucial to dairy farming too.
In its studies and pilots N-xt has demonstrated that the protein in roughage could be of a different quality if we take the soil as the starting point for our ideas and actions. Specific products that contribute to every aspect of the cycle are essential!
